Casa Dea Estates planted its vineyards in 2001 and we are currently the largest planting of Vinifera grapes in the County with 65 acres under vine. Along with the winery we also have a restaurant, banquet hall and Bocce Courts. We are using Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gamay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc to craft our wines. Along with regular wines we are also producing a couple of different Sparkling wines and an Appassimento wine (think Amarone).

Our winemaker Paul Battilana was in the first graduating class at Niagara College and worked at a couple of high profile wineries before joining us for the 2009 Harvest. Paul likes to produce dry wines that reflect the terroir of Prince Edward County. He is very passionate about making great wines and about the County.
