Included in the ticket price is a take-home booklet with information from the class.

Part II (May 1st, 6:00pm-8:30pm) will delve into intermediate beekeeping topics, including pest and disease management, how to solve common queen issues, and how to make splits. Another take-home booklet will be provided with the information from the second class.

Terroir Run

In our 8th year we've got some fabulous changes for our fun run! We are switching things up and while our route will remain the same we will be starting at Rosehall Run Winery and finishing just over 10km at The Old Third Vineyard! We'll be throwing a great post-run lunch at The Old Third that will showcase fabulous tastes from Prince Edward County prepared by Chef Albert Ponzo and Chef Karin Desveaux. Wines, beers and ciders from our partners along the run (and some of our other County favourites) will be served at lunch.

The run starts at 10:00am at Rosehall Run (there will be a shuttle to get you from your car that you can leave at the finish to the start). Please note there is no transportation offered from the finish - Old Third Vineyard back to the start after lunch.

We encourage our runners to add some ZEST to our run by coming in costume - there are some great prizes to be won!

This run is not a timed run - the 1st three female and male runners to complete the run receive a complimentary run for the 2019 Terroir Run.

We expect our runners to drink responsibly and make sure they have a designated driver or transportation support.

100% of the run's proceeds are allocated to the LARJ Foundation which supports charitable organizations doing great work in their communities to support food literacy and food security.

Wassail

Join Prince Edward County’s winemakers for mulled wines, comfort foods and festive good cheer.

Ontario’s most unique wine celebration, Wassail pays tribute to the age old tradition of celebrating the harvest before the arrival of winter. Merrymakers would travel from house to house singing, feasting and, of course, quenching their thirst with local grog.

In Prince Edward County, after harvest we rush to bury the vines to withstand the cold winter. Once the job is done, it’s time to party and everyone is invited!

During the last two weekends in November and the first weekend of December, this modern version of Wassail is a fun time to visit wineries and join in the festivities. Arrive singing a seasonal tune and be treated to free tastes of mulled wine, plus comfort foods and sweet treats! Cross wine-lovers off your list with gifts of wine or wine-related items, or shop for unique, local and handmade crafts and other gifts.

You can do a self-guided tour or join a bus tour. Advance tickets required for the bus tour, otherwise you can simply pay as you go at each winery you visit.
